Tilapia are a fish well known for its use in food-- widespread throughout America, and used primarily due to its mild taste and low price. Usually, the skin is thrown away, but rather than wasting it, tilapia leather is an excellent way to reuse a very versatile skin. In ancient Egypt, tilapia was a symbol of rebirth. In this sense, we are giving new life to their skin, a byproduct of the commercial food industry, into beautiful leather. Average size about 4 in by 12 in.
